Another Comic Book Legend passing.... MARTIN NODELL passed away at age 91. Nodell is best known for creating the first GREEN LANTERN, Alan Scott. He was also part of the advertising group that created the Pillsbury Doughboy.
I was fortunate enough to meet him at Comicon a couple years ago and he was awesome; super friendly and a love of the medium and fans. He signed a Green Lantern ring for me!
Rest in Peace, Martin. And thank you for all your many awesome contributions to Comics that are still being used and enjoyed today!

Martin's son and grandson's live here in the area. We always have kids come in to the store and say "I go to school with the guy who 'invented' Green Lantern." He was a vey nice man, and it is sad to here of his death.
