SABER CUTS

via Robot6:

There’s a lot — a lot! — of dismemberment in the Star Wars saga, so much so that artistAlessandro Randi (aka Codec Zombie) has decided to pay tribute to the fallen limbs in a series of limited-edition collectibles called “Saber Cuts.” And he begins with perhaps the most famous severed hand in the galaxy, Luke Skywalker’s.

Cast in resin, the handcrafted (ahem) extremity still grips the lightsaber the young Jedi wielded in his fight with Darth Vader in Cloud City. It even comes in a signed and numbered package that mimics that of Star Wars action figures.

“A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away,” the packaging reads, “Jedis had a thing for cutting off limbs with their lighstabers. ‘Saber Cuts’ is the first collection that includes all of the lightsabered limbs from the whole epic saga.”

Randi may have his work cut out for him, particularly considering how many limbs Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and General Grievous lost.

Spoke is offering the first 25 units of “Saber Cuts 01: Luke’s Hand” for $125 each; Randi has the remaining 25 on his website for $90 each.
