Today, Paramount released another publicity pic of SNAKE-EYES (source). Its from the same photoshoot from yesterday's pic. Below is a lightened version for better detail lookin', care of yours truly.
The pic on the right is from Image Comics' GIJOE #1 (2001), art by DAVID MICHAEL BECK. It's crazy how the costumer clearly heavily referenced this one image in designing the movie costume. Look at his forehead lines and even the arched "swirl" in his arm. Hey, fine by me - go to the source is what I'm always yelling... although, this IS the 2001 version, heh. I wonder if Beck got paid for his design? Doubtful.
The costume is growing on me. Like I said yesterday, if the pants were the same material as the upper-half, I would have ranked it higher. Still pretty freaking cool, though!

Nice one, Jim!
Looks like there wont be an Uzi:
"...He's the world's greatest ninja, but he's also next-generation. He's not afraid to use a sword one second, and a split-second later he's pulling out his Glock," says director Stephen Sommers...
