HALLOWEEN MOVIES 2011

OCTOBER IS HERE!
HAPPY OCTOBER!

My annual celebration of October includes watching HALLOWEEN Movies all month long, beginning on October 1st. This year I think I'm going to go with pretty much the same Viewing List as 2010, with a few exceptions:

PUMPKINHEAD
YOUNG FRANKENTSTEIN
THE THING
ALIEN
THE MUNSTERS
DOG SOLDIERS
HELLRAISER II
HOUSE OF THE WOLF MAN
ABBOTT & COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN
THE CROW
TREMORS
GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN
EVENT HORIZON
THE DESCENT
(I've never seen)
AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON

While the list is awesome, I would encourage you to branch out and watch films you've never seen. You might find some all new favorites ;) Or how about a new film one night, then a Jimmy Fav the next. Switch it up sir!

I hear ya, D. And I do check out new stuff, like this year I've decided to check out 'The Descent', among others I'm sure. Thanks for all the recommendations! The list posted are primarily those I enjoy saving for just this time of year - it's tradition. Also, it all depends on the mood I'm in. Some years I want horror, others fun fantastical, sometimes slasher. I never know until October arrives. Unfortunately my schedule usually gets in the way of viewing & I only watch a few. The main intent of this post was to announce & celebrate the first of October and help spread the festive mood. Halloween!!!!!

So glad you have Event Horizon on that list! I remember seeing that in the theatre when it came out and it scared the hell out of me. I would add two others. The original Halloween II (in my opinion it's a stronger film that the original and Meyers is never scarier) and Jeepers Creepers. Until that creature sprouted wings I thought the opening tension was very well done. It kinda lost me once he started flying around though.

Add "Skyline" to the list

Agree with ya on Jeepers Creepers Tim,....it started out really strong, and then just took a stupid left turn as if they were filming the next day and needed to finish writing the movie.
