NO MORE FIST BUMPS, PLEASE

You may have seen on the news today that OBAMA is on the cover (variant) and interior of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #383. No biggie, as presidents of past have made comic appearances before. But this is a case of Obama Mania, where today giant long lines of non-comic readers could be seen lined up outside of comic stores nationwide (thanks for buying my copy, douches. You still owe me a Captain America #25).

The first printing is already sold out, so you can find your copy of Amazing #383 on ebay for about $50-100. I loathe greedy non-comic people. A 2nd printing is due out next week.

Anyway, what bugs me is the fucking FIST BUMP between the 2 characters... or as FOX NEWS calls it, "Terrorist Fist Jab". Sorry, but when I see a McDonald's commercial with 20 fist bumps, including teachers-to-students... or grandmas fist bumping... yeah, its officially tired-out and stupid. But no, Marvel wants to be "hip".

This isn't OBAMA's first comic cover appearance, nor his first FIST BUMP comic cover appearance. SAVAGE DRAGON #137 had ole finhead blatently endorsing the then-candidate. Then a few weeks ago, SD creator Erik Larsen released a preview image of the upcoming SD#145, with the fist bump. Funny enough, about 2 weeks after THAT, Marvel rushes out this Obama back-up story in Amazing Spider-Man #383. "Thanks for the idea, Mr. Larson! Look for us on the News!"

Anyway, the fist bump annoys me.
