Bubbashelby said...: I saw this episode in a rare moment of sitting through one of these episodes - What bothered me was that the Clone troopers who were stationed on that ice planet appeared to all have been wearing normal armor, but the visiting Clone Troopers were bedecked in Snow Clone gear.

You also see a swift bike on Tatooine in the Special Edition. I'll let that one slide because it was fuciking atrocious.

However, the only other TWO planets you see in the Trilogy before Jedi are Tattoine; Luke's ranch, out in the desert wastelands and very briefly in Mos Eisley. That's it for land-based scenes in A New Hope.

And the only other planet seen before Jedi is Hoth, in Empire.

Just because you didn't see speeder bikes near Luke's house or during the Battle of Hoth, doesn't mean they weren't around. Curious, when watching the Prequelss did it upset you when you saw any landspeeders, too? How about those early Star Destroyers?

Stormtroopers (oh, excuse me: BIKER SCOUTS) have speeder bikes. Why wouldn't their predecessors, 18 years prior, have them too?

I have problems with the shitty Prequels, too. But I also have problems with jackass responses from annoying, anonymous, bitter fans who bitch and moan about every little thing that's outside their childhood memories of the original 3.

Anonymous said...: i get your point,..but I'm an Old testiment gut, so I cringe at the pre-quels. And yes, They showed up on Endor,..they were cool,..but BECAUSE they showed up on endor, and the toy was awesome (i had it) Lucas and ilk then went fucking nuts to the point of absurdaty in the prequels and EVERYBODY had one. Darth Maul,..speeder bike,...Anikin,..speeder bike, Clone troopers,..speder bike, Duku,..yes,..speeder bike, and on and on.... It's just a stupid cliche' that's now been over run,..( Like tweliks). Speeder bikes were cool bc they were new and fresh. It's like Boba Fett, the less you know about the guy, the cooler he was,..now, he kind of sucks as a character (once again bc fans LOVED Bobba, Lucas went over board and had to come up with a rediculous origin for him, when one wasn't needed). So yes they probably existed, but the fact that EVERY fucking character has one is, yes,..Stupid. hence my post. ( This also falls under the catagory as having hands cut off, the "come here " motion with ones hands, and the fact everybody fight like ninjas. (they did Duel in the original without fighting like that, can we please acknowledge other fighting styles); 5:55 PM
