Iron Maiden's new album is finished, but the band are holding off releasing it until Bruce Dickinson has recovered from treatment.
The legendary frontman is currently undergoing cancer treatment after a small tumour was found at the back of his toungue. Since the news was released, the band have maintained that he is doing well, but it will take a few months for him to get back to full health.
Now drummer Nicko McBrain has added that Iron Maiden have finished their new album and that it will be released once Bruce returns to full health.
He told Gater 98.7fm: “We have made an album. It was ready to go this year – and still is. We were planning on going out and doing some work around the album. We’re all just holding on.
"Once Bruce is up and running, hopefully in the next couple of months… you never know when this might happen.”
Iron Maiden's last album The Final Frontier was released in 2010. The band spent recent years stunning festivals, such as Download and Sonisphere. Fans are eager for a tour announcement for 2015.
