I think he is great at special effects, but his movies as a whole just kinda fall short for me. District 9 had some memorable scenes mostly thanks to Sharlto Copley (mostly), but Elysium was just plain bad. I have yet to see Chappie but I haven't heard anyone say anything nice about it. That said, I really WANT to like his movies. I really do. Sadly, I can't think of a director who could actually do an Aliens sequel justice, aside from James Cameron who is well past this stage in his career anyhow.IsuzuGeekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12206144752109451344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17283063.post-11452515849628403152015-07-19T16:09:58.582-07:002015-07-19T16:09:58.582-07:00Maybe Hicks got back to Earth and became obsessed ...Maybe Hicks got back to Earth and became obsessed with fixing his scars, ultimately becoming more of a victim to plastic surgery than to the the initial alien attack that caused it. An argument could be made that one's from a face hugger and the other's from a fully grown alien so maybe their acidity levels are different, but still...

Plus I've just finished Alien: Archive so fully xenomorphed out of my mind. Amazing new unseen pictures but no indicators of what they are or the small stories behind them.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06233390064850757581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17283063.post-72314080294935159832015-07-17T18:57:14.829-07:002015-07-17T18:57:14.829-07:00It's a bit of a creative license to be sure, b...It's a bit of a creative license to be sure, but it's not the first time it's happened to the series. Who knows? Maybe they'll work that bit of detail into the film by saying that the acid, even after it's melting stages have passed, still leaves some of decaying properties.Jeylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06259007967493981190noreply@blogger.com
